Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful as a the role of the Technical Support Engineer Manager is to provide key aspects of technical support in the following areas: Maintenance and associated conversion cost, Equipment Availability and Product Output, Continuous Improvements, Customer Service, People & Asset Development.

You will be required to lead and manage specific best practice engineering related activities in line with IFM service delivery. Monitors building system operations and performance. Knowledge of several trade skills such as welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling. Must be flexible on schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients. Attends client meetings.
  • Coordinates, oversees and/or manages repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, landscaping and janitorial work. Reviews work orders to ensure that assignments are completed.
  • Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.
  • Coordinates and manages moves, adds and change activities.
  • Obtains and reviews price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects in every Sunday
  • Manages capital projects. Prepares capital project and operating budget and variance reports.
  • Manages vendor relationships and trains vendors on work order and billing procedures. Responsible for invoice processing and accuracy of cost center coding.
  • Uses pc and/or PDA for work order system, email, HSE and training.
  • Provides process and procedure training.
  • Conducts financial/business analysis including preparation of reports.
  • Coordinates, repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors performing building maintenance, landscaping and factory work.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with contractors, and team
  • Maintaining day-to-day operations of PAM, IFM, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
  • Manage MOBILE TEAM to support PM, CM, Ad Hoc
  • Creating reports on maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty fully. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a facilities engineer or in a similar role.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SAP, and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management or Facility management skills.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s/motorcycle license and good driving record with periodic checks
  • License for Professional Practice Electrical – or Controlled Engineer License

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients,

co-workers, and/or supervisor.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communications
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Uses computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, and training.
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.

SAFETY

1. Complete at a satisfactory level all required and assigned HSE training
2. Follow all activity policies and procedures, including all HSE related requirements at all times
3. Participate in all HSE related programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing and assessment, etc.
4. Report any condition which you feel could result in an accident or injury and / or stop work if required

IN ADDITION

1.Be aware of and understand all safe work practices and procedures and potential hazards associated with the work environment
2. Maintain and wear at all times required appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
3. Apply appropriate material handling techniques at all times,
4.Knowledge of technical processes or soft service processes, with the ability to transfer skills across both technical and soft disciplines
5.An appreciation of risk management and HSE
6.Good understanding of engineering procedures and relevant standards
